If you are traveling to Vanuatu on a holiday from Australia and New Zealand, the
time difference of a couple of hours is only small to concern yourself about if. But if you are visiting Vanuatu
from Europe or the USA, then you have to pay more attention to time zones and weather differences.
No matter where you come from, the above articles might help you with some
tips and suggestions when it comes to all things travel.
Helpful Travel Tips
The world has become a small place and easily reachable by many. It's a good
thing. We can see and explore places, understand other cultures, and get to know other people with different ways
of living and working. No wonder the world is sometime referred to as 'global village'.
In addition to the above articles, here are some travel essentials to keep in mind
when traveling to Vanuatu or any other parts of the world:
1. Learn about the country you are going to
This might seem like an obvious thing. But it's surprising that many people don't
bother to find out the most basic things about the country they're traveling to. When you travel to Vanuatu, you
will find a lot of helpful information on this site.
2. Check out the weather at your
destination
If you live in Australia or New Zealand, you'll know what the weather is like in
Vanuatu. But if you are coming from Europe or the USA, the change could be significant. Be prepared and bring your
personal necessities accordingly.

3. Get medical and travel insurance
These are sometime covered in your travel package. But if you are getting your
travel organized online, this might not be the case. We all look for bargains these days, but these are usually
just the "bare bones" travel deals. Make sure you are well covered and remember to bring your
medications.
4. Do you need any immunization?
While we're on things medical, check with your authorities if you might need any
immunity shots for the place you're going to. In Vanuatu and other tropical places it's always wise to get malaria
shots.
5. Driving in your travel destination
If you plan to rent a car and drive in Vanuatu (or other destination of your
choice), check that you have an acceptable license. Usually you will need an international driving license. Also,
are you familiar with the local driving laws? If not, get to it. For example, do you know that in Vanuatu driving
is done on the left side, like in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Here's a quick guide to left and right driving countries.
6. Get your travel documents up to date
In addition to your driving license, airline tickets and other documentation, is
your other travel paperwork ready and up to date? The most obvious being your passport, of course. It's amazing how
many people get this one wrong sometime. Is your passport due to expire in less than 6 months? Check whether this
might pose a problem, as some countries could stop you at the border.

Today's travel destinations are practically
unlimited. But no matter where you travel,

your travel plans. Hopefully this will get your brain working and think of all other things that you need to do,
before leaving on your trip to Vanuatu, or elsewhere. Make a list of things that need to be done and check them as
they get done. Don't leave it for the last minute, do it now.
